News From St Mary's Playgroup
September - December 2011
Since our term started in September we have welcomed lots of new faces to our group and all are settling in well.
We visited our leavers at St Marys and Rodmarton and were delighted to see how quickly and easily they had made the transition into big school.
Our main objective here at playgroup is to give the children a voice and show that we value their input, ideas and creations so we have been dedicating lots of time and space to listening and displaying the language they use during activities, newstime and to help us plan to support individual needs.
This term we have already had a lovely trip to the arboretum, a visit from Mrs Bell (from St. Marys Primary School) , celebrated Diwali, where we were able to investigate a different culture and taste some Indian food.
December brings glitter and sparkle to all of our activities as we build up to our Nativity Tableaux (Tuesday 20th) and Christmas Party (Weds 21st). On Friday 9th December we will be opening our doors to Parents and Toddlers who wish to come and see how we run a session, meet the staff and sample some of the many activities and resources we provide.

St Mary's Baby and Toddler Group
St Mary's Baby and Toddler Group, run by Emma, is held on Monday mornings between 9:30 and 11:30 at Christ Church. The session includes toys, craft activities and songs for the babies and toddlers and that ever important tea/coffee and chat for parents and carers. All are welcome, from new born babies to toddlers. Please come along.
